Thank you to Minnetrista Museum and Gardens for allowing MAG to hold the annual show at their facility. The Muncie Artists Guild also greatly appreciates the following local merchants for their generous merchants' awards:
The Guild has held its annual art show to exhibit members’ artwork at several locations in Muncie, Indiana since 1956. For the past several years, our annual shows have been held in early- to mid-August at Minnetrista. Judges are independent and unbiased art professionals who are not members or otherwise affiliated with the Muncie Artists Guild.
The categories normally submitted to the show include Oils, Acrylics, Pastels, Drawings, Fibers, Photography, Watercolor, Mixed Media, and 3-D pieces.
Judging is based on originality, technique, interpretation, creativity, quality of artistic composition, and presentation. First, second, third, and honorable mention ribbons, as well as merchant awards, are presented to members for their artwork within each of the nine (9) categories. One (1) best of show is also selected.
