Empowering future artists
Susie Burns Memorial H.S. Art Show
Honoring the legacy of Susie Burns, this annual art show and scholarship program supports aspiring young artists as they pursue their education and creative passions.
Re-established in 2015 by former Muncie Artists Guild President Karen Fisher, the High School Art Show encourages and celebrates the talents of Delaware County high school students. Each year, student artists submit their work with the support of their teachers, and selected pieces are recognized with ribbons and monetary scholarships awarded to outstanding participants.

2025 Show
April 2, 2025 | Westminster Village
Thirty-three high school artists entered the show this year with so many wonderful works of art that it made it extremely difficult for the MAG Scholarship Committee to select only a few entries from the 2D and 3D categories. The awards given in the two categories were the scholarship award, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place ribbons, honorary mention ribbons, and People’s Choice. Also included were several cash prizes and gift certificates.
The 2025 art show was held in the Westminster Village Legacy Hall, on April 2. This year, the two high school art students selected to receive the Susie Burns Memorial Scholarship were:
- Lilly Cole, Catching the Stars, Yorktown High School
- Marley Dowling, Fishbowl, Delta High School
