Muncie Artists Guild
Maria Walker
Maria Walker is a self-taught beadwork artist. She uses beads the way a painter uses paints to express her artwork. Maria has been a member of Muncie Artists Guild since 2016 and enjoys participating in the Guild’s annual show where she has won awards in three-dimensional art, fiber art and photography. Her beaded mask titled "Mariposa Perception" won second place in the Guild’s 2021 annual show.
In 2019 Maria entered her first beaded bottle "Morning Prayer" which was accepted into the juried exhibition Open Space: Art About the Land. Most recently her photograph "Winter Catalpa Tree" was also accepted into the 2021 Open Space: Art About the Land.
In addition to Maria's love of beading designs on glass bottles and working in other media, Maria also designs unique jewelry.
Maria believes, "Inspiration is everywhere."
