Lylanne Musselman
Lylanne Musselman is a Delaware County native who graduated from Delta High School and Ball State University. Musselman has exhibited in juried art shows across the region, including the 97th Hoosier Salon, Watercolor Society of Indiana, Ventures in Creativity, Wabash Valley Exhibition, Figures of Speech, and Biodiversity – at Portland Arts Place, among others. She’s won over 110 awards since 1983, including winning Muncie Artist’s Guild Best of Show in 2020 with her pastel painting, “Cat Lover.” In January 2022, she’s had work juried into the 92 County Art Exhibit at the Honeywell Center in Wabash, IN, where she won HM for “The Raven Never Flitting, Still is Sitting;” The Crow Show at Arts Illiana Gallery, in Terre Haute, IN, and the 32nd Annual Minnetrista Art Show in Muncie.

Musselman is the current president of the Muncie Artists Guild where she’s been a member since 2017. She also is the membership chair of the Fort Wayne Artists Guild. Musselman also serves on the board of Midwest Writers Workshop, where she is secretary. A Ball State Alumnae, she is an award-winning poet and playwright, so Musselman often incorporates words and poems into her paintings. She specializes in pastels, gouache, and acrylics with an emphasis on pet and people portraiture. Musselman has taught art classes privately and through area organizations.
