Linda McKean

Linda McKean enjoyed a childhood of creating various crafts with her mother and grandmother. When Linda’s daughter was old enough, Linda and her mother brought the next generation into the fold. While at Purdue, she primarily studied Painting and Art History. Besides creating art with various media, she enjoys visiting museums.

Linda put art aside while raising her children but decided to let her artist flag fly about eight years ago. An eternal student, she studied with MAG artist member Sarah Shaffer for several years. She has also attended workshop retreats to study with Jan-Willem Boer and Larry Moore.

Her areas of interest are acrylic, gouache and mixed media. The excitement of color is always forefront in her work. Her artwork has been shown in the 2021 Art of the Land Exhibit and at Cornerstone Center. Besides the MAG, she is also a member of the DOMA Alliance and the Muncie Art Students League.
