Barbara Mueller - Honorary Member

Barbara Mueller went to Central High School in Muncie, Indiana. She later attended Ball State University where she studied music education and piano. She is a concert pianist who also taught elementary music to non-musicians at the university for several years.

Barbara’s husband, Erwin, an alumnus of Ball State taught music for 55 years at the university. They were both honored in 2005 by the university when the Music Instruction Building’s lobby was named in their honor. Gifts from the Muellers have led to the creation of the Barbara D. and Erwin C. Mueller Percussion Scholarship and the Percussion Emergency Fund, which creates graduate assistantships and mitigates student financial hardships.

Barbara became passionate about painting (her medium) within the past twenty years. She took several painting classes over the years and joined MAG in 2019.
